Messy Church
Messy Church meets at Furrough Cross on the second Friday of each month (other than August).
Messy Church is a monthly time when families meet to have fun, eat and celebrate God together through His word, through music and prayer. Here at Messy Church we are trying to be a worshipping community of all ages, centred on Christ, showing Christian hospitality – giving people a chance to express their creativity, to sit down together to eat a meal and to have fun within a church context.
We’ve had some great times together, with both children, parents, carers and leaders having fun.
We start at 3.45 p.m. and finish around about 6 p.m. On arrival children and their parents sit down and enjoy a board game and have a drink. At approximately 4.15 p.m. craft times starts – we’ve made nests, done cooking, created collages, enjoyed face painting, bubble blowing and made cocktails (to name just a few).
