Beetle Drive

There will be a Beetle Drive held at Furrough Cross Church on Wednesday, 6th November, at 7:30 PM

Christmas Fayre

Our annual Christmas Fayre will take place on Saturday 23rd November, from 10:30 am to 2.00 pm. at Furrough Cross Church

A raffle and the following stalls will be included:

  • Books
  • Crafts
  • Cakes
  • Tombolla
  • Jewellery
  • Bric-a-brac
  • Plants
Tea, Coffee and Lunches will be served


Monday 9th December           Carol Singing at local residential homes.

Friday 13th December           Messy Church and Christingle Service

Sunday 15th December          Christmas All-Age Worship

Tuesday 17th December        Carol Singing at local residential homes.

Sunday 22nd December         Carols by Candlelight.

Tuesday 24th December        Pyjama Service.

Tuesday 24th December        Midnight Communion.

Wednesday 25th December    Christmas Day Service.

Torbay Winter Night Shelter

Furrough Cross will be hosting the night shelter for the homeless on 10th, 17th & 24th February & 2nd & 9th March 2020.

Volunteer training sessions are provisionally set for Tuesday evening 12 November at the Salvation Army in Torquay and Saturday Morning 23 November at Christchurch in Paignton.

Communion Collection Charities

It was agreed at the Elders Meeting held on Tuesday 5th February 2019, that the following charities be the recipients of the communion collections for 2018/19:

• Torbay Hospital League of Friends;
• Torbay Holiday Helpers Network;
• Youth Genesis;
• Torbay Coastwatch.

Torquay Community Larder

The Torquay Community Larder would be most grateful if you could please donate one or more of the following items in the box at the back of Church:

• Long life semi-skimmed milk
• Sugar
• Jam
• Tinned meat
• Biscuits
• Coffee
